The Prosperity Prize was founded by Bryan Greenwood and the Sunday Foundation. After many years of nonprofit service in microfinance, we noticed the big elephant in the room: the fact that billions of people struggle to save money, even the smallest amount.

Our mission is to help struggling, low-income workers build an emergency fund aka rainy day fund so they are prepared for whatever life throws their way. We also hope our prize lays the foundation for financial literacy and long-term asset accumulation.
